The Next Chapter: Editing the Lag & Ping Novels
Next week marks a major milestone for this Substack. I will be releasing the 12th and final episode of the current novella, bringing this specific journey to its official close. It’s been incredible sharing this story week by week, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has tuned in, commented, and followed along.
But as one project wraps up, the gears are already turning on what comes next. While this specific story is wrapping up, Kess and friends aren’t going anywhere permanently, I still have a few more novellas planned for them down the road.
For now, though, my main focus behind the scenes is shifting toward a broader part of the universe. First and foremost among those projects is the full-length Lag and Ping novels.
The Release Strategy
Writing a first draft is only half the battle. Right now, I am fully immersed in the heavy lifting of the editing process, polishing the prose, tightening the pacing, and ensuring the world of Lag and Ping hits exactly the right notes.
The ultimate goal is a rapid-release launch strategy: releasing the full series on Amazon and other major platforms at a pace of one book per month.
To make this a reality, I handle all of my own layout and formatting work. The only real overhead costs going into production are professional editing and high-quality cover artwork (since the covers you see here on Substack are just placeholders).
A Thank You to My Substack Readers
When the books officially launch, the retail price will be set at a accessible $0.99.
However, as a massive thank you to those of you who support and follow my work directly here on Substack, you won’t have to pay that. Once the books are ready to drop, I will be sharing a BookFunnel link right here so you can scoop up your copies completely free.
While the current novella ends next week, this Substack isn’t going quiet. I’ll be sharing ongoing updates on the editing progress, deep dives into the development of the Lag and Ping novels, and sneak peeks at the other projects currently on my desk.
Thank you for reading, and stay tuned for next week’s finale and the updates to follow.
While we wait suggestion for the next Novella Title?
